The Benefits of Spending Time Outdoors
They say its good to get fresh air…but why? Here are some reasons to get outside now!
Vitamin D. Did you know the sun helps increase your vitamin D levels? Oh, you’ve heard? Well, Vitamin D is actually one of the vitamins our bodies are depleted in and need more of! Be careful with too much sun, so be sure to take Vitamin D orally too.
Exercise. Need I say more? It’s nice to get fresh air why running, or whatever your physical activity. Increase your oxygen levels! Plus the lighting outside is much better (and natural) outside…
Happy! Being outside and in the light helps mood, especially those who suffer from depression. Natural light tends to make people happier than inside lighting.
Concentration. Do you or know someone who has ADD or ADHD? Those with ADHD are better outdoors, their focus is increased. When you’re stuck indoors, your inspiration diminishes.
Healing. It’s wild how healing indoors vs. outdoors plays a role in recovery. Whether it’s a physical recover or mental recovery, seeing the outdoors lessen the stress and pain and likely to take less medication. Know someone who gets car sick? Ever hear of “look out the window, you’ll feel better!”. Yeah…
Get back to your roots, the Earth’s roots that is, and see how it makes an impact on your wellbeing!
