The name behind the festive name (aside it being that time of year…) comes from an aurora aka The Northern Lights, where Toronto’s Aurora Winter Festival was inspired by. What is an aurora? Auroras are a natural Earth light display in the sky, caused by disturbances in the magnetosphere caused by solar wind.
You can also get involved and join the team by helping bring the festival to life. Whether you want to be a market vendor or a character, Toronto’s Aurora Winter Festival welcomes anyone who is happy to help, or sponsor the festival as well. Another great thing about Toronto’s Aurora Winter Festival, is if you want to host your holiday private party, you can do that too!
